DIRTY LOOPS

Founded in 2008 by three friends, Aron Mellergård, Jonah Nilsson, and Henrik Linder, with the intention of exploring things that weren’t part of regular musical sessions. After making minor changes to popular songs over the past two years, the group posted a repeat of Lady Gaga’s song “Just Dance” on YouTube in the hopes of getting one or two shows. Other video reprises were posted online and were quite successful, which ultimately led to a recording contract with David Foster and Andreas Carlsson.

2014 saw the release of Loopified, a first album primarily composed of original songs. During their debut as the lead and first member of Maroon 5, Dirty Loops went on a global tour.

None of the group members recall the development of a group in 2018 in remembrance of Dream Theater, but they all agree that it would have been entertaining if it had happened.

The album “Phoenix” was released in 2021, and Dirty Loops and Cory Wong recorded their co-album “Turbo” in 2022.
